Rosaire’s Riding Academy offers instructions in all riding disciplines for children and adults, from beginner to advanced. Ellian Rosaire is a lifetime equestrienne, an award-winning trainer and performer, who has dedicated her life to horses, riding, training and teaching. Whether you wish to ride English style—dressage, huntseat—or Western—trail, barrel racing—you will receive patient and clear instruction in the correct, balanced form of riding.

Our lesson horses are all beautiful, well-trained and cooperative. Each rider has an opportunity to ride a variety of horses as they go through their chosen lesson program. Students may also try side-saddle, bareback riding, or even vaulting, as their riding skills improve.
|
And for the Cowboy in you, we now offer roping classes (heading, heeling, trick roping and more) taught by our special guest celebrity cowboy, Mr Hub Hubbel. |
Most children under eight years old start with ½ hour lessons. These lessons
focus on riding skills and control of the horse.
One-hour lessons provide plenty of riding time, but also include instruction on preparing your horse for a ride (grooming & tacking), and also how to care for your horse after a ride.

What To Wear
All riders under age 18 must wear a rated equestrian helmet. We provide helmets in all sizes but recommend that if you are going to ride regularly,
you should purchase your own. All riders must wear either boots, or a shoe with a low heel. (This is a safety issue.) Tennis shoes are not safe! Riders may wear any long pants that are comfortable and allow the rider to move easily.
Personal Equipment
Riders who own their saddles are welcome to bring them, but they will be inspected for safety and correct fit by Miss Ellian.
